Well, I finally had the fourth dimension to upload in addition to edit the pics of how this projection was done.

Buuuuut, something didn't experience quite right!

Back at home, I poured the 2 quarts onto the board and... Can y'all believe it? That's all it covered! I felt hence dumb! Why did I purchase solely 2 quarts? They didn't fifty-fifty encompass one-half the board. :(
Since, it was already there, I had to expire along amongst the projection ...
The grout was spread out, making it even amongst the frame. It looked besides fossil oil so, I brought a slice of plastic wrap in addition to amongst my mitt smoothed out the whole affair in addition to began adding the shells past times pushing them in. Small shells didn't ask much pressure.
The drying fourth dimension for the grout is 24 hours, that gave me enough of fourth dimension to larn 1 time again to the Home Depot in addition to grab a gallon in addition to 1 extra quart of grout to consummate the job. - Hey, that stuff isn't inexpensive .:/
I repeated the same steps done on the lower part, trying to expire along seamlessly all the agency to the top.
But, it was form of impossible.
Besides the visible line inwards betwixt the grout, there's is also a noticeable deviation on it's feel. The grout on the lower purpose looks rougher than the 1 above.
The higher upwards pic was taken some minutes after applying the grout. Cracks appeared some hours later.
The 20th mistake: I didn't build clean the frame when the grout was soft. Once dry out it's a hurting to take that stuff.

I allow it dry out similar for 5 days, it set apartment on the flooring all that time.
When I finally went to describe it up, oh my, that affair is HEAVY!
Strong hardware was installed earlier bringing it a top the fireplace.
Even though it has lots of mistakes, I similar how it looks.
The white on white gives a fresh await to the room. The shells add together texture.
It does await similar sand ... After all, it's sanded grout.
Well, at that spot y'all conduct maintain it. Tons of mistakes, only hopefully this tin give y'all an thought of what non to do if y'all always endeavour something similar this inwards the future. ;)
In my book, this was an expensive projection mainly because of the grout. 3 quarts: $30 + 1 gallon $28 - Three starfish roughly $10 - I had all the other materials, only if y'all don't, it tin larn upwards in addition to higher upwards $100. Perhaps it would live to a greater extent than manageable for a smaller frame, mine was 30" x 35".
